Harold Burney Goolsby

Harold Burney Goolsby, a resident of Pinckard passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 72.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Pinckard Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Roger Stone officiating and Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Coffee County Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 311354, Enterprise, AL 36331 or Pinckard Baptist Church, P.O. Box 188, Pinckard, AL 36371.Mr. Goolsby was born on March 2, 1938 in Ozark, AL and moved to Pinckard at an early age and resided there most of his life. He co-founded Goolsby Brothers Plumbing and Electric in 1979 and worked there until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Goolsby enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church and a former member of the Pinckard Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Goolsby was preceded in death by his parents J.B. and Grace Goolsby.Survivors include his wife of 50 years Patsy Goolsby of Pinckard; 2 daughters, Rhonda Sanders of Pinckard and Tonya Amerson and her husband Tim of Pinckard; 3 grandchildren, Laken Amerson, Alex Sanders, Alexis Sanders and their father Chris Sanders; brothers, Russell Goolsby and his wife Jean of Dothan and Eugene Goolsby and his wife Charlene of Enterprise; a sister Lillian Borland of Pinckard; several nieces and nephews also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
