Hazel Morgan Kistler

Hazel Morgan Kistler, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Extendicare Health Care following a brief illness. She was 80.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home from 5 until 6:30 pm on Saturday.Mrs. Kistler was born on December 9, 1928 in Shelby County, North Carolina and lived the early years of her life in Concord, North Carolina. She was a Troy State University graduate with a degree in Business Administration. Mrs. Kistler owned and operated A-1 Realty Company as a broker for over 20 years until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Gold Star Wives, Retired Officers Association, VFW and DAV Auxiliary.Survivors include her daughter, Ivy K. Hatcher, Dothan; her grand daughter, Candace L. Santiago and her husband, Jorge, Dothan; a great grand daughter, Dalila; a nephew, Roy Morgan, Fort Myers, Florida; numerous other family members and close friends. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
