Hezzie Woods Jr.

August 28, 1955 — March 11, 2021

Hezzie "Buster" Woods Jr., a resident of Midland City, passed away on March 11, 2021. He was 65.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Buster was born on August 28, 1955 to the late Lillian and Hezzie L. Woods, Sr. He was employed with Ozark Striping where he worked as a Road Striper for over 38 years. Buster was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing. He was a handy man and could build or fix just about anything. Buster found joy in spending time with his family and having get togethers with his friends. He was a "couch-coach" for his beloved Alabama football. Buster was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson, Michael Snider.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Debra Woods; his children, Krystal Woods, Gavin (Kathy) Woods, and Whitney (Wesley) Butler; his grandchildren, Kaileigh Snider, Willow Butler, and River Woods; his sisters, Virginia (Obie) Sanders, Mary-Lou (Bobby) Clements, David (Michelle) Woods, Margaret Collier, and Debra (Royce) Campbell; his brother-in-law, Tim Eldridge; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
