Howard T. Campbell, a resident of Dothan passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his residence. He was 60.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Green and Rev. Ronald Vann officiating. Burial will follow in Madrid City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Howard Troy Campbell was born on May 6, 1949 in Houston County and resided here all of his life. He was employed with Sara Lee Baking Company formerly Colonial Baking Company for 39 years until he retired in 2007. Mr. Campbell was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed playing softball, and was a big Florida State fan.Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Gracie Campbell and by two siblings.Survivors include his wife, Martha Mop Campbell; his two daughters, Melinda BraJean Myers and her husband, Tony, Tami TamiBabe Proctor and her husband Andy; his son, David Campbell; his grandsons, Anthony Antney and Joshua Daniel Myers, Chris Man-Man and Tyler Ti-Ti Proctor; one special granddaughter, Brittany Brick Proctor; his three brothers, Jimmy Frank Kirkland and his wife Patty, Charles Campbell, and Bobby Campbell; his two sisters, Wanda Campbell and Nina Elliot and her husband Bob; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
