Ilene Sallie Baxter

Mrs. Ilene “Sallie” Baxter was born January 15, 1914 to the late P.S.L. Hutchins and Louella Ellis. She was an only child and spent her earlier years in Kinsey, Alabama with Lucille Ellis Chambers and Henry Chambers.

She studied the bible in the mid 1950’s with Jehovah’s Witnesses. She invested her heart into honoring her dedication to Jehovah God. She served as a regular pioneer until her falling asleep in death. She was joined in marriage to L. J Baxter on Dec. 27, 1927, to that union 7 children were born.

Preceded her in death was her husband, her parents and her son; Henry Baxter, 2 son-in-laws; Henry “Hank” Williams Jr. and Herbert Stewart and daughter-n-law, Edna Joyce Baxter.

She leaves to cherish her memories six children: Claudia Williams; Marion Christann Baxter; Felix Grace Baxter; Frederick Caroline Baxter; Clara Stewart; Elizabeth David Danzie; and daughter-n-law Elouise Baxter; her grandchildren, Lisa, Wonda, Patricia, Myra, Jacqueline, Felix Jr., Steven, Kenneth, Phillip, Pamela, Tammy, Carol, Brenda, Rosiland, David Jr., Michael, Yul and Karen. Also, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and dear friends.
