Ines Flores

Former Ozark resident, Ines Flores, 86, passed away January 27, 2014 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

Ms. Flores was born January 22, 1928, in Guanica, Puerto Rico, to Anparo Arenas and Jose Tirado. Her final days were spent surrounded by family.

She graduated from Guanica High School in 1948. She married the late Carlos Flores.  She was a mother of seven children and raised two daughters from the late Carlos Flores. After decades of living in Puerto Rico she moved to the states in 2009.

She enjoyed her Spanish soap operas, crotchet, word search, listening to music, and playing dominoes with her family. She is survived by her children Delia Shamoon, Elba Helmer, Carmen Tirado, Victor Irrizary, Carmen Aviles, Sonia Flores, Eddie Flores, Jeannette Flores, and Maritza Flores; one brother Victor Manuel Tirado, and one sister Estrella Ruiz, 24 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held 11 am January 30, 2014 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am prior to services at the funeral home.
