Inez Ward Norman, 87, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at North Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norman was born July 22, 1928 in Dale County and lived the early part of her life there. She moved to Dothan at the age of 18 and has lived here for the past 69 years. She was a seamstress at Dothan Hosiery for 15 years until the plant closed then continued to work as a seamstress from her home. Mrs. Norman loved gardening and working in her yard. She was a member of the American Woodmen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Norman, Sr.; a daughter, Gwendolyn Norman Rhodes; a grandson, Byron Johnson; a brother, Votie Blue, Jr.; a sister, Piddie Lassere; her step-dad, Quillie Ward; her mother, Purvia Ward.
Survivors include her sons, Moses Dianna Norman, Jr., and Gregory Wayne Catina Guilford Norman; 8 grandchildren, Michael Hollis, Lashayrian Willie Bell, Derrick Norman, Shanika Rhodes, Tammie Cedric Green, Marshall Ousley, and Lakerra Tony Jackson; 13 great-grandchildren.
