Jack Landon Putman

Jack Landon Putman, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his residence. He was 78.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, March 24, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Celzo officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10am – 11am.

Mr. Putman was born on October 22, 1938 in Ashville, Alabama and lived the early years of his life in Pontiac, Michigan. He later moved to Flint, Michigan and was employed with General Motors for 30 years until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Putman moved to Lecanto, Florida prior to moving to Dothan in 2003. He loved to restore old cars, loved antiques, and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Putman; his daughters, Nanette (Ronald) Anders and Donely (Barney) Vasquez; his step-sons, David Griggs, Steven (Katie) Griggs, Peter (Terrie) Griggs, and Mark (Suzako) Griggs; his step-daughter, Jennifer Bullen; his 19 grandchildren; his 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerry Dockey; his sister, Elaine (Ronnie) Young; and several nieces and nephews.< /p> ) Burial Date March 24, 2017
