Jacquelyn Thompson

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Thompson, a resident of Dothan passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her son’s residence. She was 67.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Sigler officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.Mrs. Thompson was born on April 1, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Dothan at an early age. She was a graduate of Dothan High School and was employed as an advertising representative with the New Comers Guide for several years. She was an avid golfer and love to play at Olympia Spa where she served as President of the Ladies Golf Association. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Harvest Church.Survivors include her son Loren Blocher and his wife Trina of Dothan; grandchildren, Tiffany Watford, April Blocher, Brittney Blocher, Bradley Blocher; great-grandchildren, Austin Campbell, Damean Davis, Hunter Leger; brothers, Lowell Creamer and his wife Ula Mae of Dothan, Ronnie Creamer and his wife Gail of Dothan; nieces and nephews, Connie Hinson, Scottie Creamer, Mark Creamer, Tammy Taylor and Christy Creamer.Serving as active pallbearers will be Teddy Brightwell, Mark Creamer, Scottie Creamer and Craig Simmons. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
