James Franklin Anglin, 73 of Dothan passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 pm. Mr. Anglin was born on January 11, 1945 in Houston County, Alabama and lived the early years of his life in Ashford where he was a 1963 graduate of Ashford High School. He then joined the US Army where he served as a mechanic until his retirement after 30 years of service. Mr. Anglin resided in Dothan since his retirement and worked with Comcast as a cable technician and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Anglin attended Emmanuel Temple. Survivors include his 2 sons, Stevie N. (Angela) Anglin and Anthony (Jelahn) Anglin; his 3 daughters, Regina Anglin (Edward) Bogar, Jennifer Anglin, and Tamesha (Jwaun) Pyatt; his grandchildren, Joshua Anglin, Jeremiah Anglin, Jessica Springfield, Kierra Bogar, Caleb Bogar, Gabriel Anglin, and Amir Gamble; his great-grandchild, Kyrie Bogar; his brother, L. C. Cook; his special friends, Roger LaFavor, Damon Crunk, and Stacy Crunk; and a lifelong friend, Joyce Wilber.
