James T Haire

James Truett Haire of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was 75 years old.

Truett was born on January 1, 1947 to the late Franklin and Nell Haire in Tylertown, Mississippi. He graduated from Jackson School of Respiratory Therapy in Jackson, Mississippi. Truett worked in the field of respiratory therapy for over 40 years, ending his career as a travel therapist in California and Maine. In the late eighties, he parlayed a love for photography into a prosperous business owning his own studio on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He loved spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. During his time on the Gulf Coast, he enjoyed sailing on the Mississippi Sound.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jamie Haire; his daughters, Angela (Thomas) Wells and Diana (Barry) Smitherman; his grandchildren, Kane Loper, Anna Katherine Wells, Frank Wells, and Asher Smitherman; his two brothers and three sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
