James A. Buddy Herren

James A. “Buddy” Herren, 76, of Dothan went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 19, 2011.

rnFuneral services will be 11 am Friday, July 22, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Russell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers or food delivered to the family please make memorial donations to Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, 795 Ross Clark Cir., Dothan, AL, 36303. rnBuddy was born July 20, 1934 in West Point, GA and spent the early part of his life there. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and moved back to West Point, GA after 4 years of service. He was involved in the automotive industry all of his life and has resided in Dothan since 1970 and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Dothan. Buddy was a loving husband and father and we’ll miss him always until we have the joy of seeing him again with our Lord and Savior. rnBuddy was preceded in death by his much beloved son Jim Herren, his precious sister Barbara Jean Wright and his brother-in-law Lamar Yarbrough. rnSurvivors include his wife of 53 years Shirley Herren; beloved sons, Jeffrey Kyle Herren and Joseph Matthew Herren; a sister-in-law Paula Fagan; a brother-in-law Edward M. Wright; a special aunt Jackie Price. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
