James B. Lingo

December 14, 1927 — June 17, 2017

James B. Lingo, a resident of Dothan passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his residence. He was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Gibson and Matthew Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lingo was born December 14, 1927 in Henry County and lived the early part of his life there. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served for 8 years. He was employed with Akwell and later with Ansell until his retirement. Later he worked with DSI Security at Troy University in Dothan. Mr. Lingo enjoyed camping with his family at Whiteoak Creek in Lake Eufaula.

Survivors include his wife, Dovie Lingo; his sons, Rickey Lingo and Ralph Lingo; several step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Mattie (Charlie) Casper.< /p> ) Burial Date June 19, 2017
