James W. Moseley

James Wadsworth Moseley, 79, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at a local hospital.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Jim was born September 19, 1935 in Cabot, Arkansas and lived there the early part of his life. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and later received his Masters Degree in Education from the University of Alabama. He was an elementary school and special education teacher and retired in 1982 from Bear Lake Elementary School in Altamonte Springs, Florida. After retiring he went on a mission trips to South Africa and went to Guatemala for 6 years and New Guinea for 2 years, and finally finished teaching in 2000 after serving for 6 years at Yellowstone Christian College in Billings, Montana. He moved back to Dothan following his retirement to live on the family farm. Jim was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Moseley; a daughter Paula Mark Stein; a granddaughter Elizabeth Hanna; a great-granddaughter Eleanor Hanna; brothers-in-law, Tom Judy Gachet, Raymond Gilliard, and Buford Kirkland; several nieces and nephews.
