James Ryan Perron

James Ryan Perron, 29, of Newport News, VA passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Wade and Pastor Harry Circle officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ryan was born January 8, 1985 in Gainesville, FL and spent the early part of his life in the Dothan and Ozark area. He completed high school in Clarksville, TN where he also was the youngest person to complete his lifeguard certification in the area. Ryan worked for Hobby Lobby and had a great enjoyment for the outdoors. He loved to swim, compete in paintball, play ice hockey and roller hockey, fishing and watching seagulls. He had recently relocated in Newport News, VA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Russell Anderson, Jeanne Louise Anderson, James Joseph Perron, and Tom Thompson.

Survivors include his mother Lisa Myers Paul Caplinger; his father Dan Perron Sue; grandmother Tommie Thompson; aunts and uncles, Pam and Harry Keplinger, Richard and Kim Thompson, and Vance and Laura Haney; numerous extended family also survive.
