James Gale Stone, Jr., a resident of Dothan, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at a local hospital. He was 59 years old.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Sunset Memorial Park with Mike Hipwell officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Temple Baptist Church, 2100 Woodrow Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.
James was born on April 24, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Michigan in his younger years where he resided for most of his life before moving to Dothan in 2010. James was employed as a factory worker with General Motors. He was an artist and had a talent for playing and writing music. James enjoyed watching Science Fiction movies and movies that made him laugh. He also enjoyed a good pizza, a Detroit deep dish or a Dominoes were his favorite. More than anything, James was a devoted Christian. He loved the Lord and attended Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Wren and James Gale Stone Sr..
James is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Lynzi) Harris and Chris Stone; his daughter, Crystal Harris (Zach) Lanier; by his grandchildren, Judah Lanier, Breanna Harris, John Harris, Samuel Lanier, Tyler Harris, Darius Harris, and Harlyn Stone; and by a special neighbor, Mike Hipwell.
