James R. Tice

James R. Tice, a resident of Napier Field passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Dale Medical Center. He was 83. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service. Mr. Tice was born on August 14, 1934 in Dale County, Alabama and lived most of his life in the Dothan and Midland City areas. He was a 1952 graduate of Midland City High School. Mr. Tice worked as a salesman in the electronics industry. He loved to fish and work in his garden where he liked to try new ways of growing plants and vegetables. Mr. Tice was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Survivors include his sons, Randall Bradford "Brad" Tice and Randy Patrick (Sandi) Tice; his grandchildren, Cody and Shelby; his brother, A.J.
