James Lawrence Watley

James Lawrence Watley, a resident of Troy passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Troy Regional Hospital. He was 57.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Merritt officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service at the funeral home.Mr. Watley was born on July 22, 1952 in Covington County and lived the early years in Andalusia, AL. He was employed with Dixie Lumber Company in Andalusia for several years. He moved to Troy in 2009.Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Daniel and her husband John of Troy, Shyanne Watley of Baker, FL; his mother, Mary Schroeder of Troy; six sisters, Dorothy Odom and her husband Mike of Enterprise, Ida Brewster and her husband Merle of Enterprise, Pauline Miller of Troy, Teresa Hughes of Enterprise, Shirley Watley of Enterprise, Louanne Watley of Enterprise; three brothers, Robert Watley and his wife Jennifer of New Brockton, James Watley of Andalusia, Rickey Miller and his wife Norma of Daleville; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
