James Royce Whitehurst

James Royce Whitehurst, 62, of Webb passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at his daughters residence.

Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Sunset Funeral home with Rev. Stan Cook. The family will receive friends from 9-10 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Whitehurst was born March 31, 1951 in Houston County, AL and lived the early part of his life in Niceville, FL. He served in the Marine Corps and later in the U.S. Army. He moved back to Dothan and was employed with General Cigar Co for over 27 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a lifetime member of the North American Fishing Club.

Survivors include his wife Martha Whitehurst; sons, Chris Whitehurst and Jonathan Whitehurst; a daughter Heather Abraham; grandchildren, Trey, Christian, Brice, Lovella, Brody, Caelyn, and Jace; a sister Janet Adkinson.
