rnJames T. Willoughby, Jr., 54, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at his residence. rnFuneral services will be held 5 pm Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. John Withrock and Rev. James Culbreth officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 4-5 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd, Dothan, AL, 36303, or to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36301. rnJim was born on February 14, 1957 and was the son of the late James Thomas Willoughby, Sr. and Dora Powell Willoughby. A graduate of Dothan High School, he graduated from Troy State University in 1980 with degrees in Business Administration and Industrial Psychology. In 1980, Jim began his career in finance with Ford Motor Credit and had over 20 years experience in comprehensive automobile financial servicing including Cargill Financial, World Omni / JM Family Enterprises and Wells Fargo as Vice President and Division Manager until 2007. Jim began enjoying retirement at the age of 50 and found joy in experiencing travels to Alaska, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe enjoying the art and culture of other countries. Jim was a gardener and had a profound appreciation of nature. rnSurvivors include his mother Dora Powell Willoughby of Dothan; sister Sandra Willoughby Wilkinson and her husband Michael of Panama City Beach, FL; brother John Willoughby of Montgomery, AL; nieces Stephanie Wilkinson of Atlanta, GA, and Emily Brooke Wilkinson of Birmingham, AL; he is also survived by a host of aunts, cousins and friends. rnThe family wish to thank Covenant Hospice and Drs.
