Jane B. Thompson

Jane B. Thompson, passed away peacefully in Pansey, Alabama, on January 19, 2025. She was 90 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating. Jane will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1-2 pm.

Survivors include her sons, Tim Thompson, Joe (Paula) Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson; her daughter, Alice (Wayne) Whitman; her adored seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, who all brought immense joy to her life. Jane also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Delores O'Keefe; her lifelong friend, Celia Piccini. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Elizabeth McFadden Bieber; her beloved husband of 65 years, John E. Thompson; her three brothers and one sister; grandson, Adam Thompson; and by her daughters-in-law, Debbie Thompson and Connie Thompson.

After her early years in Indiana, Jane moved to Miami, where she embraced life as a dedicated homemaker. She poured her love into her home, creating a warm and welcoming space for all who entered. Her hands were rarely still, as she was constantly engaged in crafting, sewing, painting, and ceramics. Each piece she created was a testament to her skill and passion for art.

Jane had a heart of gold, and she made everything fun. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to find joy in the simple things was a gift she shared generously. She was the embodiment of a loving, faith-filled, and creative spirit, and these words best describe the legacy she leaves behind. Jane was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church.
