Jane Porter Thrower

Jane Porter Thrower, 90, died Friday evening, March 21, 2014 at her home in Dothan, Alabama.

Private graveside services for Jane, a member of First United Methodist Church, will be held at 2pm on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Dothan City Cemetery and will be conducted by Dr. James Sanders and Dr. Lawson Bryan, of Montgomery, AL.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Jane Porter Thrower was born the daughter of Edwin Russell and Annie Porter.  She was known as quite independent; although, she could always be found close to her family and friends, as well as her many business and professional associates.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband James Tennyson Thrower.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Thrower Conaway and Jane Thrower, II both of Dothan, AL; a son, Edward Porter Thrower of Panama City, FL; six grandchildren, Carol Conaway Fabiani, Dothan, AL, Edward Russell Conaway, Dothan, AL, Michael Conaway Denison, Vacaville, CA, James Porter Thrower, Washington, D. C., Elizabeth Tracy Thrower, Anderson, SC, and Kimberly Skyler Moss, Atlanta, GA; six great-grandchildren, Blakely, Bailey Kate,  and Jackson Fabiani of Dothan, AL, Shelby, Lauren, and Jackson Moss of Atlanta, GA.
