Janelle White Jones

Mrs. Janelle White Jones passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Extendicare Nursing Facility in Dothan, AL. She was 83.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Rich officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill with Robert Byrd directing. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Southside Baptist Church, 423 East Cottonwood Road, Dothan, Alabama 36301. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. All other times the family will be at the home of Bruce and Angela McNeal, 601 Royal Parkway, Dothan.Mrs. Jones was born on January 28, 1927 in Henry County, Alabama to the late John M. and Frances McClenny White. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Edward Earl Jones, three brothers, Frank White, Johnny Fred Mann White, Joe White and one sister, Lucille White Jones. Mrs. Jones was a member of Southside Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for various ages for many years. She was a member of the Agape Sunday School class. She worked at Teens and Queens dress shop for many years.Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Sharon Jones Hooper and Angela Jones McNeal Bruce; two sisters, Mary Dean Cain and Jane Trawick; seven grandchildren, Michelle McNeal Watkins Mike, Dr. Jonathan McNeal Elaine, Major Thomas Hooper Nichole, Molly Hooper Steele Josh, Joseph McNeal Lyndsey, Joshua McNeal and William Hooper; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Abigail and Christopher Watkins, Gage and Gabrielle Hooper, Addison McNeal and Sela Steele.Serving as pallbearers will be Dr. Jonathan McNeal, Joseph McNeal, Josh McNeal, Major Thomas Hooper, Todd Trawick and William Hooper. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
