Jason Lee Herbst

Jason Lee Herbst, a resident of Midland City passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 at his residence. He was 30.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 25, 2010 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Stringfellow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.Jason was born December 25, 1979 in Houston County and he resided the early years of his life in Tifton, Georgia. He moved to Dothan in 1996 and was employed with PC’s Nursery and Pemco before moving to Ogden Utah where he lived for four years. Jason resided in Pensacola, Florida since 2007 and he was employed with Northwest Florida AC at the time of his recent illness. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, in Tifton, Georgia. Survivors include his daughter, Jasmine Pehrson of Idaho; his parents, Lisa McKnight and her husband Buddy, Midland City, AL, and Jim Herbst and his wife Linda, Tifton, GA; his grandparents, Graham and Linda McKnight, Midland City, AL, Nellie M. Herbst, Byhalia, Miss; a great-grandparent Frances Woodham; his sisters, Keisha Smith and her husband Larry, Rogers, AR, Kayla Weldon and her husband Robby, Tifton, GA. Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Steed, Bobby Manders, David Barfield, Cody Dooling, Richie Dooling and Daniel Inge. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
