Jeanette Aplin

Jeanette Aplin, 79, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jody Hadden officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Aplin was born June 4, 1937 in Houston County and lived the early part of her life in the Slocomb area. She was employed with Van Heusen textile company and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and taking care of her family. Mrs. Aplin was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband Fred R. Aplin, Sr.; her children, Lamar Ann Waters of Bonifay, FL, Larry Debra Waters of Rehobeth, AL, Linda Dennis Singletary of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Tim Murphy of Jacksonville, FL, and Lorie Jessie Taylor of Abbeville, AL; 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brothers and 1 sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lucas Morris, James Morris, Clint Langford, Adam Waters, Andy Waters, Tyler Waters, and Derrick Singletary.
