Jeffrey Leonard Turner

Jeffrey Leonard Turner, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017. He was 52.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30-2 pm.

Jeff was born on June 13, 1964 in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and moved to Dothan at an early age. He was a 1982 graduate of Dothan High School. Jeff was employed with Unisource Paper Company for 22 years, US Business Products for 8 years, and currently worked for Canon Solutions America. He enjoyed grilling out and cooking for his family. Jeff loved his cats, Brody, Molly, and Sissi. He was a huge Alabama football fan, he enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman. Jeff was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shelby and Mary Creel.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Turner; his 2 sons, Cole Turner and Justin (Erin) Andrews; his granddaughter, Vayda Andrews; his mother, LouAnn Creel Watkins; his sister, Christy (Allen) Weeks; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Will Reed, William Reed, John Ogletree, Tom Ogletree, Preston Hatcher, and Stan Hatcher.
