Jerry Puent

Jerry Puent, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at a local hospital. He was 65. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Gallagher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4-6 pm and on Tuesday morning from 10 am-12 pm. Mr. Puent was born on April 15, 1954 in Gary, Indiana and lived the early years of his life there. He was a 1972 graduate from Wirt High School. Mr. Puent was employed with US Steel and later in the automotive industry with Carroll Chevrolet in Crown Point, Indiana and with Kennedy Buick-Mazda, Valparaiso, Indiana. He moved to Dothan in 2005 where he worked with A & D Automotive Group for the past 14 years. Mr. Puent was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Mr. Puent was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Eberhart, by his sister, Ginger Doeing, by his brother, Donald Puent, his nephew, John Bauswell and by his niece Lisa Bauswell. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Lynn Puent; his sons, Jeremy (Morayma) Puent, Joshua (Brandy) Puent, and Kenny (Kacie) Puent; his 4 grandchildren, Ender Puent, Asher Puent, Seth Puent, and Hannah Puent; his brother, Charles (Kathy) Puent; his niece, Lorri (Tim) Phillipe; and his nephew, Kenny (Karla) Bauswell.
