Jesse Floyd McCloud, Jr., 72, of Dothan passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at his residence.

rnMemorial services will be held 10 am Friday, May 11, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Elder Joel Coleman officiating. Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd., Dothan, AL, 36303. rnMr. McCloud was born September 1, 1939 in Dothan, AL and lived the early part of his life here. He was a 1957 graduate of Carver High School and joined the U.S. Army shortly following high school. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired after 20+ years of service. Following his military service he worked in civil service as a computer programmer and analyst at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL for over 20 years. Mr. McCloud has been living in Dothan since 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Floyd McCloud, Sr. and Perry R. Miller, a brother Roy McCloud, a sister Jessie King, and a brother-in-law Willie Clark. rnSurvivors include his children, Kimberly Y. Lloyd Wood of Dothan, Kirsten McCloud of Olive Branch, MS, and Kelli Pack of Richmond Hill, GA; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin McCloud of Tampa, FL and Curtis Irene McCloud of Sierra Vista, AZ; a sister Ruby Clark of Dothan; several nieces and nephews; a special friend Phyllis Carter of Pensacola, FL. rnThe family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Covenant Hospice especially Jennie May, Lynn Vukovich, and Tim Stevenson for their expressions of love and care. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
