Jewell Mae (Woodham) Corley, a resident of Midland City, AL passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019. She was 96 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Corley, Rev. Dan Corley and Ronnie Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Corley was born on April 15, 1922. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnie C. Corley, Sr., her son, John Earl Corley, her daughter, Linda Carol Corley, and her son-in-law, Julius Parmer. After retiring from Dolly Madison, she worked for several years at Fairyland Day Care where she was best known as MeMe to all the children. Survivors include her daughters, Mary J. Parmer, Nancy J. Jenkins (granddaughter, Donna Cowen), Martha (Jessie) Deal, Becky (Al) Bright, and Margie (Roger) Turvin; her son, Johnie C. (Debbie) Corley, Jr.; her grandchildren, Donna (Terry) Hays, Mitch (Joyce) Parmer, Wanda Parmer, Denise (Heath) Macko, Josh (Crystal) Deal, Lynn (Mike) Culligan, Chad (Erin Jean) Bright, Brittany (J.P.) Miller, Travis (Katy) Turvin, Jennifer (Wayne) Hilton, Meghan Corley, Ellec (Heather) Corley, and Clayton (Brooke) Corley; 35 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
