Jimmie Howell Bearrentine, 73, of Dothan died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Flowers Hospital.

Services will be held 2 pm Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Ross officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.rnMr. Bearrentine was born September 9, 1937 in Henry County, AL and graduated from the Clay County High School in Ft. Gaines, GA in 1955. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1955-1963 as an electronic technician operator. He was employed with Mack Electric Company in Dothan as the service manager for over 20 years. He and his wife JoAnne owned and operated Ozark TV-VCR Service in Ozark from 1992-2001 until their retirement. Jimmie was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church and attended the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Lee Bearrentine and Ruby Brown Sparkman.rnSurvivors include his wife of 26 years JoAnne Depper Bearrentine of Dothan; his daughters, Patricia Bearrentine Rose and Dianna Bearrentine Harrod both of Lexington, KY; a step-son James Crocker Tammy of Dothan; a step-daughter Peggy Charlton Keith of Dothan; 5 grandchildren, Justin Rose of Lexington, KY, Cody Harrod of Lexington, KY, Laura Charlton of Dothan, Ryan Charlton of Dothan, and Andrea Charlton of Dothan; an uncle William F. Brown Thelma of Ft. Gaines, GA; his brothers and sisters, John Martin of Plano, TX, Joe Bearrentine of Pike Road, AL, Betty Hickson of Ft. Worth, TX, Thelma Flowers of Brundidge, AL, Paula Kranzthor of Seattle, WA, James Sparkman of Lynnwood, WA, Gail Kelley of Issaquah, WA, and Carter Bearrentine of Ariton, AL; a number of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
