Jimmie Lee Walker, 69, of Dothan passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnFuneral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. rnMrs. Walker was born August 16, 1942 in Dale County and lived most of her life in the Midland City area. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was an avid fisherman. Mrs. Walker was of the Holiness Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Maggie Wilkins, and her sisters, Debra Johnson, Linda Roberts, and Betty Sue Urbano. rnSurvivors include her husband Robert Walker; her children, Diane Roberts, Stevie W. Howard, Bernice Terry Brannon, Lisa Robert Mathis, James F. Howard, Jr., William L. Howard, and Stacy L. Gavin Smothers; 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; sisters, Katie Simmons Thomas Garrison and Patricia Ward; brothers, William O. Martha Wilkins, and Joseph Margie Wilkins; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
