Jimmy Chandler, a resident of Panama City, FL passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010. He was 60.
A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Deese officiating and Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chandler Benefit Account at Vision Bank, 16901 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach, FL 32413.rnMr. Chandler was born on September 15, 1949 in Dale County and lived the early years of his life in Headland, AL. He was a veteran United States Army having served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Chandler was employed as a glazier for forty years. He worked with Area Glass Company in Panama City and Elba Glass in Elba until his recent illness. He had resided in Eufaula the past year and previously in Panama City for seven years.rnMr. Chandler was preceded in death by his step-son, Robert Chad Dykes.rnSurvivors include his wife, Theresa Chandler, Eufaula, AL; his son, Jimmy Glenn Chandler, Elba, AL; his 2 step-sons, Jesse Lee Kelley, Gulf Shores, AL and William James Kelley, Panama City, FL; his 3 step-daughters, Racheal Dykes, Lynn Haven, FL, Virginia Kelley, Morgan City, LA, and Lisa Kelley, Panama City, FL; his 9 grandchildren; his 2 brothers, Gene Chandler, Midland City, AL and Steve Chandler, Ozark, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
