Jimmy E. Goldsborough

Jimmy E. Goldsborough, 75, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his residence.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity with Father John Coleman officiating.

Mr. Goldsborough was born November 4, 1939 in Marianna, FL and moved to Dothan during his junior year in high School. He graduated from Dothan High School and also from Auburn University with a degree in finance. He was employed in the banking industry for over 40 years in Tennessee, Georgia and Dothan where he was instrumental in establishing the Bank of Dothan in 1976. Jimmy enjoyed playing golf with the D.C.C. Fish Group and spending time with his family and friends at Lake Eufaula. Jimmy was the President of the Dothan Chamber of Commerce and President of the Dothan Rotary Club. He also served as Superintendant of Banks for the State of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nell Goldsborough, and his son, Brian Goldsborough.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Linda Goldsborough; his sons, Andy Goldsborough and Greg Heather Goldsborough; his grandchildren, Jack, Gus, and Kate Goldsborough; his brother, Bobby Dianne Goldsboro; nieces and nephew, Danny, Terri, and Brandy.
