Joan Morgan Bradley

March 5, 1931 — January 12, 2010

Joan Morgan Bradley, a resident of Dothan, left to be with her Lord and Savior on January 12, 2010 after an extended illness. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by friends and family. She was 78.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. Flowers will be accepted or donations to the American Cancer Society or to Alacare Home Health and Hospice are welcome. A wake service will be held 6 pm Friday at Sunset Memorial Park.Ms. Bradley was born in Macon, Georgia on March 5, 1931 and traveled with her late husband until moving to the Dothan, Alabama area in 1972. She was a faithful member of the Saint Columbia Catholic Church. She retired from civil service at Ft. Rucker, Alabama after 20 years of faithful service.She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Daniel Bradley Sr. of Lincoln, Nebraska and her parents Hubert Marion and Julia Hightower Morgan from Macon, Georgia; a brother Hubert Marion Morgan.Survivors include her three sons, Daniel James Bradley Jr. and his wife Terry of Dothan, Michael Stephen Bradley of Dothan, Mark Morgan Bradley and his wife Judith Ann from Gilbert, AZ; she was known as Mimi by her three surviving grandchildren, Leah Danielle Bradley of Ashford, Sydney Elizabeth Bradley of Gilbert, AZ, Andrew Michael Bradley of Gilbert, AZ; two great grandchildren Katelyn Shea and Morgan Grace Bradley of Ashford; step-grandchildren, Joseph Brandon Scarborough and his wife Shelley of Dothan, Michael Jason Scarborough and his wife Julie. She was also Mimi to step great grandsons Will, Hayden and Sam Scarborough and step great granddaughter Kohen; a sister in law Jeffelyne Register Morgan of Macon, GA and a nephew Carl Marion Morgan and wife Cynthia Williams Morgan of Macon, GA. Special thanks to her caregivers Sherita Hudgen, Meshia Walker, Pam Jackson and Cherie Johnson of Allcare sitting services and Alacare Home Health and Hospice services. An extra special thanks to Sherita, Ms. Bradley’s daily caregiver. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
