Jo Ann Long, a resident of Dothan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She was 69 years old.
The family will be receiving family and friends 6 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 119 Oak Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.
Jo Ann was born on June 4, 1952 in Wicksburg, AL to the late Charlie Powe and Lilly Griffin. She was a graduate of Wicksburg High School, class of 1970. Jo Ann served as a cafeteria worker for San Antonio, Texas school system and Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan. She was a long-time member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Ashford, AL. Jo Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, water aerobics, and playing bingo with her sisters and friends.
Jo Ann leaves to cherish her memories to her loving children, Kalifia Thomas (Felisha), Bill Anthony Bell (Rahkiyah), Nikki Broussard (Justin) and Bradnaa Bell; her loving grandchildren, Cadarius Bell (Marquesha), Anthony Bell, Kianna Ingram (Chris), Paris Williams, Bill Anthony Bell, Jr., Aubree Bell, and Justin Christopher Broussard, Jr.; her siblings, Charlie Terry Powe (Shirley), Maurice Powe (Lisa), Brenda Ward, Wanda Powe, Mary Brown, and Sharon Riley (Marion); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
