Joann Meadows

Joann Meadows of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her residence. She was 74.

Memorial services will be held 11am on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Meadows was born on March 11, 1943 in Gordon, Alabama and lived there most of her life. She was employed at Dothan Manufacturing and Farley Nuclear Plant. In the early 1990’s she moved to Dothan and was employed with Blue Bell Ice Cream until her retirement in 2002. She was baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witness on February 9, 2000. She loved to cook and bake which she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Edward Meadows; two daughters, Sherrie (Henry) Barber and Frankie Dixon; five grandchildren, Kaurice Dixon, Maurice Dixon, Jeremy Jackson, Franchesca Williams and Marquis Barber; 6 great grandchildren; three brothers, five sisters and several nieces and nephews.
