John Robert Culver

John Robert Culver, a resident of Headland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was 77 years old.

A celebration of John's life will be held at 1 pm on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12-1 pm.

John was born on June 20, 1945 in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Henry Culver. He lived there the early years of his life and attended Abbeville High School. He was married to Minnie Jones Culver for over 18 years and together they resided in Headland. He was a great husband and good provider who loved his wife dearly. In addition to spending time with his family, John enjoyed going fishing when ever he had a chance.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Albert Culver, David Culver, Fred Culver, and Benny Culver, and by his sisters, Sarah Cochran and Ruby Bright.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Minnie Culver; his sons, Tyrone Culver, Davele Culver, and Terrell Culver; his daughter, Tasha Culver; his six grandchildren; his stepson, Marvie Brye; his step-daughters, Michelle King and Vickie Duncan; his brother, Herbert Culver; his sisters, Florence Corbett and Queenie Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
