John Dossett

John Dossett, a resident of Newton passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Flowers Hospital. He was 55.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 1, 2010 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Neil Epler and Dr. Chuck Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 2-4pm.Mr. Dossett was born on December 23, 1954 in Dale County and lived the early years of his life in the Grimes area. He attended Dale County High School and was employed with Michelin for 26 years until his retirement in 2004. Mr. Dossett was an avid fisherman, he loved gardening and was an Auburn football fan – War Eagle! He was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church.Mr. Dossett was preceded in death by his father, John W. Dossett and by his brother, William Michael Dossett.Survivors include his wife, Donna Dossett, Newton, AL; his daughter Chasity Chris Duke, Enterprise, AL; his mother, Retha Dossett, Newton, AL; his twin sister, Debbie Clenney, Ozark, AL; nieces and nephews, John Mona Kennedy, Megan and Michelle Clenney, Shawn, Jeremy, Christina; great nieces and nephews, Gracie and Samantha Kennedy.
