John Lee Stephens

John Lee Stephens, of Dothan went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 29, 2009. He was 55.

Celebration of life services will be held 10 am Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orrin Barrett officiating. Graveside services will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level, Alabama with Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church “Building Fund”, Dothan, Alabama.Johnny was born August 12, 1954 in Andalusia, Alabama and he lived the early years of his life in Red Level. Johnny was employed with Foshee Milling and Peanut Company for several years. He resided in Luverne, Alabama prior to moving to Dothan in 1990.Survivors include his sister, Shirley Watt and her husband, Tom, Wicksburg; his brother, Hillery Lamar Burkett, Dothan; a nephew, Stephen Berry, a niece, Sonya McLaney; a great niece and nephews, Hali Phillips, Kade McLaney and Daniel Berry; his son, Steve; his daughter, Jessica; an aunt, Carolyn Bogan, Red Level.
