John Irby Waters

John Irby Waters, 63, of Midland City passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnServices will be 3:30 pm Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Cole officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. rnMr. Waters was born July 10, 1948 in Dale County and lived all of his life in Midland City. He was a self employed entrepreneur in the asphalt industry, shrimp business and saw milling business until his medical retirement. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being on the water. rnSurvivors include his wife Betty Waters of Midland City; sons, Ronald Lee Crawford of Memphis, TN and John Clifton Bridges of Echo, AL; daughters, Christy Lee Kissel of Midland City and Mary Elizabeth Buckhalt of Midland City; 4 grandchildren; a brother Walter Waters of Rehobeth; a sister Alitha Skonitzki of Pinckard; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
