Johnnie Lee Gallman

September 15, 1937 — December 3, 2019

Johnnie Lee Gallman passed away December 3, 2019 in Fort Gaines, Ga. She was 81 years old but would hate anyone knowing her age! She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Ethel and Mitchell Rogers but always claimed Buford Ownby, her stepfather, as her Father. She was a middle child. Born between Barbara Lund, her cherished sister and Richard, her fun-loving brother. They all migrated to Illinois for their Father to look for work. In Illinois, she met her soulmate of 63 years, John, another Tennessee transplant in high school. They raised four children together: Terry, Tracey, Sean, and Keith. Johnnie will be remembered for her love of family and as our rock! She made sure everyone knew they were loved. When we left, we'd say, "I love you!" Her response, always, "I love you more" and she meant it. She loved playing tennis and going to the beach. She also had real passion for researching her ancestry in the Smokey mountains, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! Johnnie is preceded in death by her son Keith Gallman and her sister Barbara Lund. She is survived by her husband John Gallman, brother Richard (Judy) Ownby, Daughters, Terry Gallman, Tracey (Dennis) Heine, Xiomara Gallman and Sean (Lorraine) Gallman. Grandchildren, Cassandra (Justin) Andrews, Collin (Nicole) Heine, Kameko Heine, Kylee (Robert) Hickey, Ian Gallman, Laurel Gallman, Zachary Gallman and Caleb Gallman. Great-grandchildren, Aubrey Andrews, Caden Andrews, Taylyn Andrews, Dana Maniscalco, Erin Maniscalco, Asher Heine, and Reina Heine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to Fort Gaines Health and Rehab for the loving compassion and care shown to Johnnie and family.
