Johnny Morrison, a resident of Dothan passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at his residence. He was 66.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy Storms officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home.Mr. Morrison was born on May 24, 1944 in Houston County and resided in Dothan the early years of his life. He moved to Broward County, FL in 1964 and then back to Dothan in 1994. He was an automotive mechanic most of his life and owned and operated Morrison’s Automotive until his death. Mr. Morrison loved drag racing and grilling out with his family and friends. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Edna Morrison of Dothan; sons, Gregory Morrison and his wife Heather of Atlanta, GA, Dexter Morrison and his wife Amy of Lake Wales, FL, and Dennis Morrison and his fiancé Kim Chandler of Birmingham, AL; daughters, Linda Jones and her husband Xabier, Sr. of Montgomery, AL and Brenda Small and her husband Toney of Sunrise, FL; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Richard Morrison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Willie James Morrison and his wife Rosa of Parrish, FL; sisters, Rosa McFarlin and her husband Lawrence of Pompano Beach, FL and Ethel Morrison of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law also survive.rn Burial Date: January 1, 1970
