Johnny Williams

Johnny Robert Williams, a resident of Dothan, AL passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was 90 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Johnny Robert was born July 30, 1928 in Henry County and years later moved to Dothan, AL. He was currently a resident of Signature Healthcare of North Florida. He married Catherine Flucker on December 25, 1948 and they had five children. Survivors include his wife Catherine Williams; children, Thelma L. Williams, James R. Williams (Gloria), Mary C. Williams, Willie F. Williams, and Vikki E. Miller; one brother, Johnny Butts (Dorothy); grandchildren, Lakisha R. Williams, Shani M. Miller, Rashad D. Grimsley, and Jackie White-Greenwood (Reggie); seven great-grandchildren, seven brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. He also had a special God-daughter Tinnie Owens. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ron Jackson.
