Josef Harth Schmitz

Josef Harth Schmitz passed away December 22, 2008 in Cologne Germany. He was 70. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2009, at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating.

A lifelong resident of Cologne, Germany, Joe embraced his life with a heart of joy and love. We will treasure memories of his laughter, singing and jokes. He loved without limits and was adored by all who knew him. Josef was a wonderful and devoted brother who will be dearly missed. Survivors include a loving sister, Wilma Goins; niece, Patty Goins Johnson and husband Mike; nephew, Cary Goins and wife Veronica; Great-Nephews, Justin Godwin and wife Michelle; Jordan Goins, Trevor Goins; Great-Nieces, Danielle Godwin, Kelsey Goins; Great-Great Niece, Addison Godwin all of Dothan Alabama. Extended family includes Bob Goins, Eleanor Goins and close family friend Monikia Skipper. Survivors in Cologne Germany include his wife, Margret Harth and step-daughter Claudia and other family and friends. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
