Joseph Emory Roberts

Joseph Emory “Joey” Roberts of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 22.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, October 23, 2009 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, Georgia with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12 noon until 2 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Aubrie Marie Roberts Educational Fund, C/O the Alabama Telco Credit Union, 1144 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, Alabama 36301.Joey was born December 3, 1986 in Dothan and he resided here all of his life. He was a 2005 graduate of Rehobeth High School and he attended George Wallace Community College. Joey was employed with Southeast Alabama Medical Center and Hibbett Sporting Goods. Survivors include his daughter, Aubrie Marie Roberts; his parents, Ed and Kathy Roberts, Dothan; a sister, Katie Roberts, Dothan; three aunts, Shirley Pruett, Dothan, Joanie Hipwell and her husband, Michael, Dothan, Mary Charlotte Roberts, Dothan.
