Joyce F. Hawthorne went home to be her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She was 53 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Friday at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm.

Joyce was born on December 29, 1967 in Enterprise, AL. At an early age, Joyce moved to Youngstown, Ohio with her parents Linda Lee Frazier and Earl March. During her early years of education, she attended Garfield Elementary School in Youngstown, OH. She graduated from Calvary Christian Academy and attended Wallace Community College where she completed her Associate of Nursing Degree. Joyce was a proud registered nurse who specialized in Cardiology. She was employed by Southeast Medical Center for over 20 years. Because of her desire to see all women win in life, Joyce Frazier Hawthorne was the genius visionary of Be U: Beautifully Unique ~ A Nonprofit Teen Girls' Mentoring Program. Joyce was truly a trailblazer and believed in paving the way. Because of her service in the community, she received tributes and awards including the Girlfriend Making a Difference Award. Another professional accomplishment includes The Queen's Table a royal special events company bringing "your vision to life" with co-owner and co-founder Carla Graham, who is also her best friend. She was a proud and active member who served in ministry at Oasis Worship Center in Dothan, Alabama. She often pondered favorite Bible verses Romans 8:28 and Matthew 6:33.

During this queen's leisure time she enjoyed many domestic and international travel excursions where she never met a stranger. Another one of her past times was taking photographs (more than forty-four thousand confirmed) of her trips and those she loved. Her participation in book clubs, conferences and family functions were her passion. Joyce was a pusher, puller, and fighter excited to see where God was taking her and everyone she came in contact with on life's journey.

Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lee Frazier McRae. Sweet memories are left to be cherished by her devoted husband who was her travel and life partner Tony Hawthorne, Dothan, AL; two sons: Kevin Frazier, Dothan, AL; Michael Frazier, Enterprise, AL; two bonus-children, Shericka Hawthorne Mosley (Attrice), Jacksonville, FL; Tony Hawthorne Jr. (Laura), Wetumpka, AL; nine grandchildren: Rejone, Aryana, Lauryn, Khamari, Krishton, Kamryn, Camryn, Karleigh, Adaleigh. Siblings: Wanda Frazier, Bonaire, GA; David March, Sr., (Christa), Columbus, OH; Kadishe March, Perry, GA; Kito March, Sr. (LeJeune) Cleveland, OH; Noelle Warford (Raphael) Philadelphia, PA; five Hawthorne siblings-in-love, John (Iris); Thomas (Lynette); Varlinda (Jerry); Stanley; Kinji; Special family friend, Britney Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, and family, that she loved dearly.Burial Date January 23, 2021 Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
