Jr Northington

Gorman "JR" Northington, a resident of Lake Seminole, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016.  He was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 pm.

Mr. Northington was born on July 6, 1938 in Sulligent, Alabama and graduated from Sulligent High School. He was employed with Accusti Engineering, J. R. Decks, and Florida Roof Decks until he retired in 2012.  Mr. Northington was an avid fisherman and #1 Alabama Roll Tide football fan.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Beverly Northington; his son, Phillip Northington; his daughter, Vicki Mark Wright; his step-sons, Clay Leavins, Todd Leavins, and Everette Leavins, Jr.; his step-daughter, Kim Jamie Conner; his 2 grandchildren, Ashley Simmons and Isabel Northington; his step-grandchildren, Kelly, Summer, Crystal, Zeke, Case, and Kaden; his half sister, Lana Northington; the mother of his children, Carolyn Darnell.
