Judith Brent Carroll

Judith Brent Carroll, 68, of Dothan, Alabama went to be with her Lord Monday, June 3, 2019 at home with family by her side. A service of thanksgiving for Judy's life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 1-2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, nationalmssociety.org. Judy was born January 21, 1951 in Grenada, MS to Dennis and Florence Brent. She attended Auburn University where she met her husband, William Jesse Carroll. They were married December 19, 1970. She continued her education at Wallace Community College earning her degree in Nursing. For the majority of her over thirty-year career as a RN, Judy delighted in caring for newborn babies at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. In particular, she was devoted to the premature infants God brought her way, finding great joy in caring for "the least of these". (Matthew 25:40) Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Florence Brent and by her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Bonnie Carroll. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William Jesse Carroll; her two children, Andrew Clark (Ann) Carroll of Opelika, AL and Christine Carroll Fain of Dothan; She was a loving "Mimi" and adored her five grandchildren, William, Charlotte, Catherine, and Alice Carroll and Jack Carter Fain.
