Judy Jones, 69, of Dothan, passed away April 24, 2018 at Flowers Hospital after complications from an on-going illness. Mrs. Jones was born on September 7, 1948 in Prattsville, Arkansas to Calvin and Agnes Ritchey. She graduated from Prattsville High School and attended Henderson University on a music scholarship. Mrs. Jones often sang and performed in churches, was a military wife and eventually became a real estate agent before moving to Dothan 19 years ago. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church serving as a Stephen Minister, Sunday School teacher, and bridge coordinator, a club which has continued for more than 15 years. Mrs. Jones is survived in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Jim Jones; her daughters, Tonia (Doug) Haymans of Brunswick, GA, and Christine (Rusty) Baughman of Ringgold, GA; her grandsons, Ryan Baughman, Jacob Haymans, James Baughman and Nathan Baughman, and her granddaughters, Sarah Haymans and Grace Baughman. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony (Tony) Baughman. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, from 5 - 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating.
