Julia Marie Fye

Julia Marie Fye, a resident of Kinsey, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at a local hospital. She was 91 years old.

Ms. Fye was born on December 14, 1926 in Ridgeway, MO and lived the early part of her life there. She resided in Tampa, FL prior to moving to Dothan in 1978 and has lived in the Dothan area for the past 40 years. She owned and operated Marie’s Glass Engraving for several years until her retirement in the mid 1980’s. She was a very artsy person and never met anyone she didn’t like. Her hobby was her family and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Fye was a member of the VFW and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Fye in 1969.

Survivors include her children, George Fye, Pauline Jones, Charles V. (Deborah) Fye, Thomas Fye, James (Beth) Fye, and Tina Fye; grandchildren, Nick Jones, David (Joanna) Fye, Cassandra Fye, Brittany Fye, and Ian Fye; great-grandchildren, Austin Fye and Kallie Fye; sister, Anna Hamilton; several nieces and nephews.
